Who We Are

Gospel Light Christian Fellowship is a local Anabaptist congregation that calls the historic school building on Main Street our home. Our church family is made up of families and individuals from across the Richland County and Hillsboro area. We are a people bound together by our commitment to scripture, our love for one another, and our desire to be a "city set on a hill" within our rural community.

To know Christ and to make Him known.

We believe that the light of the glorious Gospel is the only answer for a dark and hurting world. Our vision is to shine that light through:

• Proclamation: Preaching the message of "Jesus Christ and Him crucified" as the power and wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:23-24).
• Discipleship: Walking together in the center of God’s will, encouraging one another toward holiness in both heart and life.
• Community: Fostering a strong sense of belonging and support, where we "carry one another’s burdens" and impact our neighbors socially and spiritually.

What We Believe

We hold to the central tenets of the Anabaptist tradition, emphasizing:

• Biblical Authority: The Bible is our sole authority for faith and conduct—the inspired, inerrant Word of God.
• The Finished Work of Christ: We believe that the Cross is the only means of salvation and the exclusive object of our faith.
• Separation and Holiness: We strive to live lives that are separate from the ways of the world, focusing on an "inner change of heart" that naturally flows into our outward actions and appearance.
• The Priesthood of All Believers: Every member of our body has a role to play, and we gather to minister to one another in love and humility.
